In a somber turn of events, the renowned Kannywood actor, Usman Baba Pategi, widely celebrated as Samanja Mazan Fama, has departed this world at the age of 84.
The veteran actor, a fixture in the vibrant Hausa film industry, breathed his last around 12:15 am on Sunday, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades.
Confirmation of his passing came from Mohammad Usman, one of Samanja’s sons, who revealed that the late actor is survived by two wives and 12 children.
As the news reverberates through the film community, plans were earlier made for the funeral prayer, which took place at 10 am in Kabala Costain, Kaduna, at a local mosque.
