In a pivotal development for the education sector in Taraba State, Dr. Augustina Godwin, the Commissioner of Education, conducted a working visit to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in the state.
The visit marked a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of education in the region.
During her visit, Dr. Godwin took the opportunity to commend the unwavering dedication and commitment demonstrated by SUBEB’s management in delivering essential services to the education sector. She lauded their efforts and encouraged them to persist in their exceptional work.

In response to Dr. Godwin’s visit, Mrs. Rabi Sunday, the Acting Chairperson of SUBEB, extended a warm and appreciative welcome to the Commissioner and her team. Mrs. Sunday expressed her delight in the positive changes that Dr. Godwin has initiated since assuming office. She specifically highlighted the improved working relationships that have developed across various departments, boards, and parastatals within the education sector.

The Acting SUBEB Chairperson also praised the unity that has enabled Quality Assurance of SUBEB and TPPMB to jointly inspect schools upon their reopening. She called upon all staff to offer their unwavering support for the policies of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to ensure they materialize effectively.
Idris A. Goje, the Permanent Secretary, added his commendation for the Commissioner’s visit. He took the opportunity to provide valuable insights into the structure, policies, and mandates of the Ministry of Education. Mr. Goje explained how the ministry plays a pivotal role in coordinating the activities of various boards and parastatals, often assisting with the seamless implementation of educational initiatives.
