President Tinubu Abolishes Niger Delta and Sports Ministries, Announces Major Restructuring
President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council (FEC) have dissolved the Ministry of Niger Delta and the Ministry of Sports Development.
A newly created Ministry of Regional Development will now oversee all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
In a further restructuring, the National Sports Commission has been tasked with taking over the functions previously handled by the Ministry of Sports. Additionally, the FEC approved the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.
