Governor Simi Fubara approves Christmas Bonus for Civil Servants

Governor Simi Fubara has granted approval for the distribution of a Christmas bonus amounting to N100,000 for civil servants enlisted in the state’s payroll.

The announcement was made by Warisenibo Johnson, the Commissioner of Information and Communications, through an official statement released on Tuesday. Johnson detailed that the governor officially endorsed the disbursement of the bonus on the same day, aiming to provide government employees with a festive and joyous Yuletide celebration this year.

This decision comes in the wake of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s intervention, resulting in the formulation of an eight-point resolution to quell the discord between Governor Fubara and the current Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Following the resolution of the crisis, Governor Fubara expressed his commitment to maintaining peace, asserting that no cost is too great to ensure the prevalence of harmony. He emphasized, “There is no price that will be too big to pay to ensure peace prevails.”
