NADECO Urges Tinubu’s Resignation

NADECO Urges Tinubu’s Resignation to Salvage Nigeria’s Dented Image

In the midst of Nigeria’s ongoing international image crisis and domestic turmoil, the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) has issued a fervent plea to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to step away from his political ambitions.

In a statement signed by Lloyd F. Ukwu, Executive Director of NADECO-USA, the organization asserts that Tinubu’s unyielding pursuit of the presidency is exacerbating the nation’s woes.

The statement underscores Nigeria’s current precarious situation, marked by a tarnished global reputation, a struggling economy, and a populace yearning for change. The exchange rate between the dollar and the naira is alarmingly close to one thousand naira to one dollar, and even esteemed institutions like Chicago State University (CSU) face the threat of losing international credibility and accreditation due to the fallout from Tinubu’s actions.

NADECO maintains the urgent need for Tinubu to step aside, imploring him to consider the collective suffering of over 200 million Nigerians. They emphasize that his political ambitions are causing more harm than good.

NADECO USA’s message is crystal clear: “for the sake of Nigeria’s future and international reputation, Mr. Tinubu should resign from his political pursuits. Only then can the nation hope for forgiveness and a chance to heal from the damage caused by his actions.”
