Major Breakthrough: Operation SAFE HAVEN Captures Murderer of Dorathy Jonathan in Southern Kaduna
Aligned with the commitment of Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General AE Abubakar, to bring all perpetrators of crime to justice in the Southern Kaduna region and its environs, troops of OPSH have successfully apprehended the murderer responsible for the brutal slaying of Mrs. Dorathy Jonathan.
Mrs. Jonathan tragically lost her life on the 1st of September 2023 while collecting firewood in the serene Afana village of Zango Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State.
The apprehended culprit, identified as Lot Dauda, shockingly confessed to committing this heinous act in collaboration with an accomplice whose identity is currently being withheld and who remains at large. Dauda’s capture resulted from a relentless manhunt launched by the dedicated troops of Operations SAFE HAVEN, spurred by credible intelligence they obtained.
According to Dauda’s confession, he had approached Mrs. Dorathy while she was tending to her farmland. His sinister intentions were to forcibly engage in an intimate encounter with his victim, but Mrs. Dorathy courageously resisted, leading to a violent and tragic outcome as Dauda resorted to murder.
The pursuit of justice is ongoing, as authorities are actively working to apprehend the remaining accomplice who is still at large. The arrested suspect, Lot Dauda, will be subjected to a thorough investigation, and upon completion, will face the full weight of the law when brought before the court.
