NIGER GOVERNOR APPOINT 131 WOMEN

Niger State Governor, Mr. Umaru Bago, fulfills his commitment to inclusivity by designating 131 women for key political roles.

According to a statement from the governor’s chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, 41 of these appointments are for coordinator positions, while the remaining 90 women will serve as senior special assistants (SSAs).

These appointments align with the governor’s pledge to appoint 100 women, as announced during his meeting with the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in July.

Highlighting the administration’s dedication to women and children, the governor encouraged the appointees to contribute actively to the success of his policy initiatives. This move underscores his commitment to promoting gender diversity in his administration.
