The significance of these words has made an impact across different political groups, leading to various interpretations. For supporters of Peter Obi or the Labour Party, it symbolizes a glimmer of hope, a sign that a new and better Nigeria might be on the horizon. But for those in the Tinubu or APC camp, it might feel like a sudden chill, hinting at uncertainties ahead.

This whole buzz revolves around the aftermath of the fiercely contested February 2023 Presidential Election, which left many questioning its outcome. Legal battles led by Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour party and Atiku Abubakar of the People Democratic Party have extended the drama, leaving doubts lingering over the legitimacy of the election results.

As the nation waits for the PEPT’s verdict, the impact of their decision looms large. This ruling is set to finally reveal who won and who lost in the closely watched presidential race, potentially reshaping the country’s political landscape. The stakes are high, the excitement is palpable, and the entire nation is eagerly waiting for the final word.

However, beneath this excitement lies a lingering distrust in Nigeria’s judicial system. With a history of political meddling and questionable influences, many ordinary Nigerians view the legal process with doubt. The “All Eyes on the Judiciary” commotion arises from this deep-seated concern, as citizens hope for a fair and unbiased resolution to the PEPT.

Yet, the bold advertisement hasn’t gone unnoticed. The Advertising Regulation Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has acted swiftly, criticizing the message as possibly disrespectful to the judiciary and the ongoing PEPT proceedings. Consequently, the Federal Government through ARCON has disbanded the Advertising Standard Panel (ASP) over its approval of billboards termed: ‘All Eyes on the Judiciary.’ Amid discussions about freedom of expression, ARCON’s decision to pull down the billboards and take action against the advertising body has sparked more debate.

While some argue that the government’s response is excessive, it underscores the seriousness of the situation. The possibility of a change in leadership and governance looms, motivating both sides to eagerly await the tribunal’s ruling.

As Nigeria stands at this crossroads, everyone’s attention remains firmly fixed on the judiciary, and the nation collectively holds its breath for the verdict that will define its path forward.
